Artist Statment
Exploration and understanding are the centers of my artistic practice. I accomplish this by building and working with topics and themes that inspire me and push me to find creative solutions. This could be through the discussion of industrialization and the resilience of nature or by manifesting life experiences and goals into simplistic and modern works of art. The exploration and understanding lead the material and form of the artwork. It results in an array of sculptures, videos, and drawings. Thus, each piece or series brings a focused idea or question into the conversation. However, when all the pieces are viewed together, one begins to see me not only me as an artist but also as a person. One can see what inspires and moves me to think and create.
