She seemed nervous and sad about something. So I gave her a small figurine that I made. It wasn't anything, probably some tiny clay figure. She mulled it in her hands and began to bend and shift it into the picture she wished to see. Maybe she played out the actions she wished for her own story. She smiled; she forgot her fear. My work just helped lift the weight of her living. The fine details of the memory left me, but the feeling. The feeling stayed.

 I felt so light that I could have flown as I watched her play and laugh at my work. It was warm, a warmth filling my body and making my toes tingle. It was the feeling of love and purpose.&#38;nbsp;

I continue to chase this feeling as my practice evolves. I want my art to help people directly or help them find this feeling, and, of course, I get to have fun and discover myself along the way. This is most apparent through vibrant colors and the work's simplicity, which lets the mind and body play while encouraging the viewer to interact with the pieces. It is all with the hope for the viewer to walk away with a smile, maybe their shoulders rolled back, hopefully, gratitude within their spirit, and knowing their worth.

This insultaion was created to brighten a gallery space and to help people move their bodys. I worked with a physical therapist that specalizes in parkinson disease to design and build these objects. They are all based on developing shoulder mobility and to assist with posture. All while have a lot of fun!&#38;nbsp;

This piece was an attempt to hug someone through an object rather than a person and played with what symbolizes the different feelings of a hug, from protection to comfort. It was inspired by the volunteer work that I was doing and how it felt to help others while I also needed support.

The western focus of many museums is beginning to be challenged and altered. I wanted to depict what the monster or the remaining neoclassical and western parts of the museum would like. That leads to this deformed funeral lion coated with marble portraits and broken over time.

	Gratitude and partnership are vital to maintaining close relationships with those around you and living a more enjoyable life. I work with gratitude to brighten my personal experience and to reach out to and connect with loved ones. I do this by writing gratitude letters to loved ones and inviting them to make a collaborative piece with me. The artwork created stems from the recipients' wants, which could be anything from forging a knife to painting a pug wedding. The art is then given to the recipient to finish or to display how they wish. The process is an exercise in giving without any expected return past the joy of expressing my love for the people in my life.

What does it mean to revisit a dark memory and recreate it? Does it help you get over it? Or will it cause one to spiral back to the place they were? That is what this video and project sought to answer. This video is of a performance piece in which I go through a choreography of my first time with self-harm. In contrast, a video of the same choreography being done in a digital recreation of the room I initially did self-harm plays in the background.

Having fun and playing is vital to maintaining a healthy artistic practice. I play by letting my subconscious take over and drawing characters and scenes that I find exciting and enjoyable through playing with my sketchbook and mark-making materials. I create a vast array of doodles that I then collage to make new characters and compositions. This act of curation allows the doodles to live a second life and play with them further. This play is a singular piece that is an accumulation of subconscious moments that tell a story of the joyous parts of the mind.

How do you define yourself? Is it the exterior we display for others, or is it our hobbies and interests and keepsakes that we have, or our head voice and thoughts? It is most likely a combination of all of them. The piece Inside, Outside, Me aims to display these different parts of one's self in the hope of the viewers’ questioning what makes up their identity.

What makes a self-portrait is it something that shows your exterior, or can it be something else entirely. For me, a self-portrait shows who you are, which means it can be the interior. This piece shows who I am by being wood found in my backyard in Santa Fe and, all of the carving techniques used, and the motivation to create art were taught to me by my grandfather.
